Given that (re-)authorisation applications are due on 10 July 2026, how long does the CBC expect that it will require to review these applications? Will the CBC provide Third-Country Branches with ample time to revise their applications if needed before being deemed unsuccessful? The Consultation Paper notes that the Central Bank will review the Branch’s compliance until 10 January 2027, is this the date the Third-Country Branch will be informed of the outcome, and if unsuccessful, will have to halt activities on the same day? • The Consultation Paper notes that the capital endowment must only be kept in an escrow account in the Central Bank. CRD VI, however, allows Branches to keep the capital endowment in an escrow account with a credit institution in the Member State of authorisation of the Branch that is not part of the parent institution’s Group. What is the rationale for not including this in the local legislation? Additionally, what does the CBC envision the escrow account to look like and how will it operate?"
